Geotechnical Engineering

Our geotechnical team applies published engineering principles and best practices to investigate subsurface conditions to assist land developers, structural engineers, and government agencies determine soil and rock properties as well as groundwater conditions and assess the risks associated with site conditions to facilitate the design for earthworks and foundations.

Davroc geotechnical team is specialized in providing the following services:

  • Type and capacity of suitable foundations for the site as well as the need for ground improvement.

  • Preparation of geotechnical data report, design report and baseline report for infrastructure projects such as tunneling projects for stormwater, forcemain, sewer, etc.

  • Stability analysis for slopes and retaining walls including erosion assessment and recommendations for remedial actions.

  • Construction inspection during the installation of foundations, piles, shoring, earth structures, etc.

  • Assessment, design and rehabilitation of pavement.

  • Litigation support.

Hydrogeological Studies

Hydrogeological Studies

Davroc hydrogeological team works closely with the geotechnical and environmental teams to provide groundwater control systems.

Davroc hydrogeological team is specialized in providing the following services:

  • Determine the requirement and options for groundwater control during construction of the below grade structures.

  • Determine if any needed water takings during construction will require registration on the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) or a Permit to Take Water (PTTW).

  • Determine the requirement for mitigation measures during the water taking activities.

  • Determine management options for the discharge of construction groundwater takings to the city sanitary/combined or storm sewer system.

  • Litigation support.

Environmental Engineering

Environmental Engineering

Environmental engineering services may be needed as part of a regulatory requirement (federal, provincial and/or municipal), by lenders and financing partners, as part of the cost analysis for a project or as part of a legal action. Davroc will assist with these requirements.

Davroc environmental scientists is specialized in providing the following services:

  • Due Diligence environmental studies and opinion letters.

  • Soil and groundwater management.

  • Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA).

  • Peer Review services.
